The wood flooring is any product manufactured from wood timber that is specially designed for use as flooring in the home and offices. If your hardwood floor has dirty and stubborn stains such as ink stains or grease stains then you need to follow the given steps carefully to clean the stains permanently.

Part 1: Choosing The Right Cleaning Solution

Here are the steps to clean grease stains from your hardwood floor:
  • Always try to use a recommended item for hardwood cleaning, purchase a cleaner formulated for hardwood type of flooring.
  • You can also make your own homemade cleaner just try using dish soap. Mild dish soap will help to remove greasy residues from your hardwood floors. Simply, mix 1/4 cup (59 ml) of dish soap in a bucket of water (warm) to create an effective homemade cleaning solution.
  • Vinegar can also help you to do this work, use vinegar cautiously. Mix 1/2 cup (120 ml) of vinegar(white) with 1 gallon (3.8 L) of water(warm). Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to scrub the greasy area from your hardwood floor.

Part 2: Cleaning Sticky Floors

  • Choose your best solution and then sweep your hardwood floors. Use a broom to gently sweep the entire surface of your hardwood floor.
  • Mop your hardwood floor with the selected cleaning solution. Dip your mop in the cleaning mixture and then wring the mop out completely. Mop the floor according to the grain direction of wood floor.
  • Check if your cleaning solution gets dirty then change the cleaning solution. If your solution become gray then dump the solution out and prepare for a fresh batch to finish mopping your hardwood floor.
  • Now, rinse by mopping the floor with clean water. Fill the bucket with fresh, clean water. Dip the mop in that water, wring out the mop completely, and mop your hardwood floor again.
  • Finally, dry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Drying and buffing your hardwood floors with a soft cloth to remove greasy residue that can be left behind from mopping. Use a non-abrasive fiber cloth, like flannel or microfiber, to buff your hardwood floor with gentle in circular motions.
