The wooden blinds are having the tendency to collect up the debris and the dust particles that can end up in the change of the color of faux wooden blinds. The blinds are usually of the white color and eventually they turn out to the yellow color and that looks a bit unattractive and does not suit the room decor. - Feather Duster, Cloth & Vacuum
- Warm Water, Liquid Detergent & Soft Brush
- Bath Tub, Vinegar, Sponge And Dry Cloth
Step 1: Remove The Dust
The users need to dust down their faux wood blinds once in a week so as to keep the blinds clean and beautiful. They need to dust their blinds by using the feather duster, cloth, or vacuum with the attached brush. Before dusting it down the users need to close the blinds and then dust down its one side and then the other side as well. The users can also use the dryer sheet and can rub each slat of the blind so as to clean the blinds.
Step 2: Cleaning Up The Grime
The users need to fill up the bucket with the hot water and then add a few drops of the detergent to it. Then, on the other hand, the users can also fill up the bowl with the vinegar instead of the detergent, and then they need to soak up the cloth in the soapy mixture or either in the vinegar and then ooze out all the excess water. Then they need to rub the damp cloth over the slats of the blinds and they can also scrub off the hard stains by using the soft brush accordingly. Once they cleaned up the grime stains the users are advised to dry both the sides of the slats by using the dry cloth.
Step 3: Bathtub Treatment
If in case the blinds are dirty and do not get cleaned up with the dusting method then they need to detach the blinds from the window and then place them in the bathtub filled with the warm water. The users are advised to add few drops of the liquid soap and the vinegar in the bathtub so as to clean up the hard stains on the blind slats and the users can even scrub down the blinds by using the soft sponge. Once the users cleaned up the blind slats they need to make it dry by using the dry towels and then affix them back to its place.
