  • Step 1: First you need to clean the grooves of your hardwood floor, to do this simply use a vacuum cleaner but make sure that cleaner should be powerful enough to remove grooves.
  • Step 2: Once cleaned now, make a solution of water & detergent in one clean bucket. Add more detergent until your water becomes fully soapy and then dip a rag into this solution. Wipe the grooves of your hardwood floor with the help of a sponge dipped in a commercial wood cleaner or homemade solution which contains white vinegar if the dirt still remains in the grooves then by using a sponge dipped in clear water for removing any residue from the grooves.
  • Step 4: Use steel wood pad to rub the grooves to remove any debris remain in the grooves.
  • Step 5: Once cleaned, use a nail knife or putty knife in order to remove any paint from the grooves of your wooden planks. The sandpaper folded in half will also do this work easily. You need to simply swipe the groove with your sandpaper.
  • Step 6: After following all the previous steps now, vacuum the grooves again in order to finish your work.
