What Are The Steps To Clean Chalky Plastic Lawn Chairs?

If the plastic lawn chair is kept outside for a long period of time, they will develop a chalky finish, which is caused by the degradation of the plastic material in sunlight, the dirt can be easily removed with a power wash or a detergent solution but the chalky surface will still remain there, the steps to remove the chalky surface on the plastic chair are mentioned below:
  1. Vinegar-water Solution: To kill any mold on the chair use a vinegar-water solution. To do that the user needs a garden sprayer and fill it with a solution of 1/4-cup white vinegar to a per quart of water and spray the surface of the chair. For the best results left the spray on the chair for at least 20 minutes, and then wash the chair with water using a garden hose.
  2. Baking Soda: Dip a sponge in warm water and sprinkle baking soda on the sponge. Then rub the chair, if needed use more baking soda, after rubbing the surface rinse the chair and wipe it with a towel and let it dry in the sunshine.
  3. Wax: After the chair is dried in the sunshine it will look dull, the shine can be restored with the automotive paste wax, put the wax on the rag and then let it dry for at least 5 minutes then buff with a soft cloth.
