The blinds that are specially installed in the kitchen areas are usually covered with the grease and that is why it requires the proper cleaning process than just simply dusting it. If the blinds are made of the vinyl materials than it can be cleaned easily with the mixture of the soap and the warm water after they are vacuumed down completely. The users can easily clean up the blinds in the bathtub at home by following the below-mentioned procedure:

Vacuum First

The users need to start by vacuuming down the surface of the blinds so as to get rid of all the dust and the debris particles that are stuck to the blind slats. The users are advised to affix the upholstery brush to the vacuum so as to clean up all the loose debris items that are stuck with the blinds. They need to close up the blinds in the one way like they can turn the small phase of the blinds in a way that it will face them and then they can easily vacuum down the blinds and can even vacuum the frame that is holding up the blinds with the window. Then the users can easily unbind and close the blinds in a different way and then vacuum down the blinds in this way as well.

Dust Down The Blinds

Although the vacuum removes most of the loose and the debris particles it does not completely remove all the dust particles. The users are advised to dust down the blinds by using the feather duster or the microfiber cloth. The users are advised to clean up the edges of the frame unless the dust may stick to it. Then they need to clean up all the sides of the blinds in one way like they do with the vacuuming process

Using The Soapy Water

Both the vacuuming and the dusting process don't clean up the greasy buildup on the surface of the blinds but the users can remove the grease by using the soapy water. The users need to add a few drops of the mild soap to the warm water in the large-sized bucket and keep on the string until all the ingredients are mixed up properly. Then the users are advised to close up the blinds in a way that its slats will be facing downwards towards them. Before applying the soapy water to the blinds the users are advised to lay a few old towels on the floor near the window so as to catch up all the water spills. Then they need to soak up the soft sponge in the soap mixture and then rub it over each slat of the blind. Then the users need to wipe down the blinds with the other soft cloth so as to get rid of the soap residue and then allow it to get dried off completely. Then the users need to close up the blind in the other direction and then clean them with the same soapy mixture.

Bathtub Treatment

If in case the blinds are too dirty and are not cleaned up with the above-mentioned procedure then they need to raise up the blinds as much high as they can so as to detach the blinds from its holder that helps in keeping the blinds in one exact place. Once the users detached the blinds from the window then they need to place them directly in the bathtub and cover them with the water. The users then need to add a few drops of the liquid soap and the few drops of the vinegar as well so to get rid of the grease on the slats. Then the users need to scrub it down by using the sponge. Then they need to rinse the blinds with the clean water and then make it dry completely before affixing it back to its place.
