Items Needed

  • Grill Brush
  • Hot Water
  • Vinegar

Steps For This Process

  • First of all you need to get rid of the grill from your stove top, also get rid of the grill surface, drip pan & all other removable parts from your stove, but remember if you have built in stove top grill then leave the collection jar underneath.
  • One you've sucessfully removed all the parts from your stove, place the top grill surface in the sink & spray it down with some water(hot). You need to apply some dish soap solution to the grill brush and wet the grill with it then scrub the top grill by using up & down motion.
  • The previous two steps depend on how encrusted your top grill is, you may now also need to use more or less elbow grease. If elbow grease is really caked on, then you have to splash some vinegar(white) on your top grill & then let it soak for near about complete 30 minutes before scrubbing.
  • Next you need to rinse your drip pan with water and then you can place this grill on a clean, dry towel in order to air dry it completely. Now, simply spray off your drip pan. Spread a small amount of dish soap to your drip pan and then use the rough side of a dish sponge to scrub the cooked on residue from your drip pan.
  • Rinse off the pan now before placing it on a towel. If you still have any other removable parts then you need clean them in the same way as you do before in the 3rd step.
  • In order to clean a built-in grill then first you need to remove all the chunky, flaky debris left behind by the top grilling surface. To do this, you need to use a paper towel to easily clean up any debris from built in grill.
  • After following the previous steps, now apply dish soap or you can also use vinegar again for really tough crust. Take a dish sponge and then soak it in some water (hot) and then use rough side of sponge to scrub the entire surface.
  • Once done, now turn your sponge over & then use the soft side of sponge to wipe off the unexhausted soot. When doing this step, you have to empty your collection jar respective times since all debris will fall into as you scrub. Clean your jar as you would any household utensil or you also put the jar in the dishwasher.
  • After following all the previous steps, now you need to polish your top stove grill by using a paper towel & some vinegar. Replace all the parts and make sure they are dry & your stove top grill is now good as new, ready to impress the guests.
