How To Clean A Glass Table: 3 Easy Ways To Clean & Maintain Glass Table

3 Easy Ways To Clean & Maintain A Glass Table

Glass Table is a kind of table that is particularly composed of glass. Due to the fact that it is made up of glass, it is obvious that it will get dirty with the span of time. So you need to clean the glass table regularly and in order to clean it, follow the three easy ways mentioned below carefully:

1st Way: Using Baking Soda And Vinegar

  • Firstly, you need to pour a vinegar & clean water(equal amount) into a small container to use the mixture later. Now you need to mix the water & vinegar together in order to create your homemade cleaning mixture.
  • The amount of cleaning solution you make will depend on the surface area of your glass tabletop. Start out your work by mixing 1 cup (0.24 L) of water & vinegar together, and make more cleaning solution later if needed. Set the homemade cleaning mixture aside while you make the baking soda paste.
  • After making the water & vinegar solution, now you need to stir 0.5 cups (0.12 L) of baking soda & you have to add at least 3 tbsp (44ml) of clean water into the baking soda paste.
  • Now you need to mix baking soda and clean water together in a small bowl until the mixture is thick enough. You need to use this paste to clean off your glass table surface. This is a great & easy way if you want to clean your glass table without using any hard chemicals.
  • Next, you need to spread the baking soda paste onto your table with the help of a sponge. Simply use the circular and sweeping motions to rub your baking soda paste mixture over your glass table after dipping your sponge into the water bowl. Be as thorough as possible, and be sure that you have covered the entire glass table surface.
  • Next you need to dip the sponge into the water & vinegar mixture & then rinse off your glass table. You simply need to soak one end of your sponge in your vinegar solution & wipe off your glass table in long strokes. Continue your cleaning work until you remove all of the baking soda paste from the glass surface. Depending on the size of the glass table, this may take individual minutes to complete.
  • Finally, wipe a squeegee down your glass surface and let it dry for a while. You need to use a plastic squeegee and then run it down your table in straight and long lines. You need to work according to grid pattern to remove any of the extra fluid from the table. Let the glass table air-dry when you’ve finished cleaning it.

2nd Way: Spraying With Glass Cleaner Or Vinegar

  • You first have to spray the glass cleaner on the surface of your glass table. Use the cleaner according to the bottle guidance. Be sure that you spray enough cleaner to cover all the corners & areas of your glass table. If you see any obvious debris stuck to your table then wipe it off by using a microfiber cloth or other type of soft material before spraying the cleaner.
  • You need to use the white vinegar if you don't like to use a glass cleaner. Vinegar is more effective in removing dirt and grime from your glass table. You just need to pour a small amount of white vinegar into your small spray bottle for easier application. Spray enough mixture so that your glass table's entire surface is thoroughly covered with mixture.
  • Wipe the glass table surface in long and circular strokes to clean it entirely. You need to use a microfiber cloth to rub the applied cleaning solution into the surface of your glass table. Make sure to wipe with a material that will not leave any lint behind, as lint can make the glass table look dusty.

3rd Way: Taking Preventative Measures

  • It's a good idea to place the coasters under the beverages in order to keep the drink residue from appearing. Put the drinks on the coasters to keep any pesky, telltale rings from forming on the glass table surface. Some materials such as cork & sandstone are great because they never adhere to glass.
  • Wipe off all small blemishes with the help of a newspaper. Clean off the glass table surface in small & round strokes by using a small piece of newspaper if something spills. Your newspaper is naturally absorbent, and the ink of the newspaper can help coax some stubborn messes off the table surface. You can also use your newspaper instead of a microfiber cloth when you apply any cleaning solution, too.
  • Simply clean your table regularly to keep it looking always shiny & fresh, wipe your glass table periodically so you don't need to wipe off a huge amount of grime and dirt at once.
