Steps To Build Wooden Chairs
The steps to build the wooden chair are as follows:
- Material: The first step is to gather the material before starting to build the wooden chairs, the user will need the material like plywood, wood glue, decking screw, dowels, double ended screws, drill, circular saw, and jigsaw.
- Legs: After that the user needs to build the legs, making of the front leg is a straight forward task as compared to building the back legs cut them from the 2*4 beams, with the help of the jigsaw cut the legs in the 2*4 slat. At the same time smooth their edges with the help of the router or sanding block.
- Front Legs: Continue the process by making the front legs and secure them with the back legs.
- Side Aprons: From the side apron cut them from the 1*4 lumbar and then fix them to the right place with the help of the glue and screws.
- Lock: Once both sides are built than its time to lock them together with the help of the back and front aprons. To enhance the bonding of the joints apply the good quality of the wood glue on the edges. And adjust the size of the chair at the same time as per the needs.
- Seat Support: The next step is to build the seat support for the chair, the best way is to use the slats of the different sizes. Simply cut the slats using a miter saw and then align it into the proper place.
- Reinforce The Corners: Before installing the seat it is very important to reinforce the corners with the braces. The size of the braces depends on the size of the corner, simply Place the braces into the right place, drill the pilot holes and then insert the 2” wood screws.
- Nice Appearance: For the nice appearance built the seat from the 1/2” plywood, simply apply the wood glue at the top side of the aprons and then clamp the seat piece into place.
