  1. Cut: The first step is to cut the plywood parts to width with the help of a table saw. Also, crosscut the plywood parts to needed length using a track saw. The user can use the miter saw to crosscut all the poplar stiles as well as rails to length.
  2. Drill Holes: Into the rails drill the holes with a pocket-hole jig and screw down the rails to the stiles with 1 1/4 inch pocket screws. Glue and screw all the stiles as well as rails to the plywood back with the help of 1-inch screws.
  3. Use A Router: The user needs to use a router with a quarter-round stepped beading bit to shape down the inside edges of the stiles as well as rails.
  4. Notch: In this step notch the rear top as well as bottom corners of the plywood center for the storage box. Then screw together the plywood storage box with the help of 2 1/2 inch drywall screws. The user needs to be sure to drill pilot holes first.

  8. Sand: The user needs to sand down all the parts using a random-orbit sander and the 120-grit abrasive disks.
  9. Face Frame: With the help of an 1 1/4 inch pocket screws assemble the poplar face frame to the storage box with the pneumatic brad nailer.
  10. Set The Shelf: On top of the plywood back secure shelf with the help of a pneumatic pin nailer and brad nailer. At last, prime then paint or stain the bench, this depends on the user's choice.
