5 Easy Steps And Useful Tips Of Building A Blind Corner Cabinet

There are usually a number of different ways of building a blind corner cabinet, however, below the user will find the best and easy ways along with some of the useful tips for building a blind corner cabinet:
  1. For the blind cabinets, the user needs to make sure to cut the side panels exactly in the same way as the other cabinets. Make sure to create the two sides for each of the cabinets in the mirror, which in turn means that the toe kicks are at the bottom, the pocket holes that are used for attaching the face frames are on the outsides, and the shelf pin holes that are used for adjustable shelves are on the inside.
  2. The user can use the cheaper plywood like unfinished off the shelf oak for these pieces & this is because they are usually hidden under the cabinet and are exposed. Rip a bunch at 5" inch widths. All the pocket holes must be drilled on the 3/4" inch setting, and use the fine threaded pocket hole screws. It is advisable that the toe kick is cut about 1/2" inch less than the front.
  3. Right on top of the base supports, secure the bottom shelf.
  4. For the top, support the front as well as back with the strips of the plywood that is left from ripping the sides. The width does not really matter of the boards, it is important to just get the length right on. It is important to remember that depending on how to mount the drawers, the user can add the extra support to the back.
  5. Now the face frame must overextend the sides by the 1/4" inch, but is flush with the top and bottom of the toe-kick cutout but overextends the bottom shelf by the 1/2" inch. This will leave a 1/4" inch lip on the inside of the blind cabinet. It is advisable to build the face frame first with the help of 3/4" inch pocket holes and the 1-1/4"inch pocket hole screws and after that attach the whole face frame to the front using the 1-1/4" inch pocket hole screws into holes that are predrilled on the outsides of the sides and the top. On the bottom, the user will not be able to get a drill in between the face frame as well as the bottom support board, in such case nail on the bottom with the help of glue.
