They are a great option in the case when the user needs a bit of privacy, for example in the bathroom, but do not want to block out all of the natural light that will be coming from the window. Steps For Making A Cafe Curtains

    Preparation
    1. Simply start the job by measuring out the width of the window and then add 2 inches that will be used for the seam allowances. This will also give the valance width. In order to know the width of the fabric, that will be needed for the bottom panels, simply add the 4 inches to the overall width of the window. In case of the fuller valance as well as the curtains which will hang in the very soft folds, plus 1/4 to 1/2 to the width.
    2. From the top upper of the curtain rod measure down to about 1/3 of the window’s overall height. Add about 6 inches for getting the length of the valance. Now from the top of the lower rod again measure the three inches exactly below the sill of the window. For getting the length of the lower curtain simply add 6 inches.
    3. Fold the fabric in the halfway, keep the printed side in if there is. Cut out the valance as well as also the lower panels, but be sure that the pattern must be in the same direction.
    Bottom Panels
    1. From the each of the bottom panel fold the side edges in the 1/4 inch. Press down the edges with the help of the iron. Again in another 3/4 inch fold the edges as well as the pin and sew them.
    2. Flip the bottom side of the panels to the up 1/4 inch and using the iron press it. Again fold the bottoms with 1 3/4 inches and at the same time pin the hems in place as well as sew the hems.
    3. Now simply flip the top side of each of the lower curtain panel under the 1/4 inch as well as press them using the iron. Fold-down the edges with another 3 3/4 inches and pin, all the edges as this will help to make the rod pocket and then sew the edges.
    4. Finally, slip-in the panels on the curtain rod as well as also arrange the curtains in a way so that the opening then is at the center.
