Step By Step Process To Clean Vertical Blinds Using Vinegar

Vinyl vertical blinds covered with grease, such as in your kitchen, then it will require a bit more cleaning than the blinds that are very simple to dust. Since the vertical blinds are vinyl, they may be washed with a mild soap-and-water solution after dusting & vacuuming in order to get rid of any grimy residue that remains. You can also use vinegar to clean your vertical blinds because the vinegar is one of the best options to remove grease residue or old stains from the blinds. If you want to clean your blinds by vinegar then you need to follow the given steps. Here are the steps for this process:

1. First of all, fill your bathtub with at least 6 inches of water(lukewarm) and then you need to add vinegar (one gallon) and few squirts of dish soap. Swish the water around with your hand to mix the dish soap & vinegar into the water.
2. Now, close your blinds before you remove all your vertical blinds slats from the hangers and then lay them flat in your bathtub filled with warm water. You can use your hands or the baby brush to gently wipe away any dirt & dust. Let the vertical blinds to soak for at least 25 to 35 minutes.
3. Next you need to prepare the floor underneath the vertical blind track by placing the folded towels along with it while the blinds are soaking in the warm water and vinegar solution. Next, you need to drain the bathtub and again refill your bathtub but this time with the cool water. Repeat the process if needed.
4. It is very important to remove all the soapy & vinegar cleaning solution from your vertical blinds, because if the solution dries on your blinds then the dust will easily stick to it.
5. Now you need to pick up the vertical blind slats one at a time, and then shake them slowly until the water is completely removed from them.
6. Next you need to hold each one slat over a bucket to keep from separation trail of drips when you carry the slats of the blinds back to your window.
7. This is your final step, rehang all the blind slats in the full spread out position and then let your blinds dry for at least 30 minutes before opening your blind & crowding them up against each other.
