Steps To Stain The Rubberwood
The users need to follow the below-mentioned steps for staining the rubberwood:
- Gather All Tools And Material: The first step is to collect all the material and tools that are needed to stain the rubberwood like Rags, Paintbrush, Wood conditioner, 80, 100, 120 and 150-grit sandpaper, Wood stain, palm sander, and Clear wood finish.
- Sand Rubberwood: Next step is to take a palm sander and start to sand the rubberwood surface. To get rid of splinters 80 to 100-grit sandpaper can be used and for making the wood ready for staining use 120 to 150- grit sandpaper. Then remove the sanded residue particles from the rubberwood surface by using a rag.
- Apply Wood Conditioner: Now the users need to take a paintbrush and start to apply the wood conditioner on the wood surface so that the stain soaks evenly on the rubberwood surface. Wait until the wood conditioner dries completely on the wood surface.
- Choose Stain Color: Then select the stain color according to the taste to enhance the beauty of the rubberwood. Water and oil-based stains absorb well in the grains of the rubberwood.
- Apply Stain: After selecting the appropriate stain, take a paintbrush and start applying the stain on the wood. Wait for about 2 minutes so that the stain soaks in the wood and clean the extra stain from the wood with the help of rag. Always clean the wood in the direction of the grain to keep the streaking away from the wood surface.
- Allow Stain To Dry: Last step is to wait for several hours so that the stain on the rubberwood surface dries properly then the users can apply the clear finish.
