Buffing Vs Sanding Hardwood Floors: Comparison Between Buffing And Sanding

Comparison Between Buffing And Sanding Hardwood Floors

Buffing Hardwood Floors

Buffing is done by using a floor buffer. In the buffing process firstly remove the oil or wax from the floor and clean all the debris particles on the floor surface. Hold the floor buffer in hands, turn it on and smoothly move the buffer on the floor surface and cover the entire floor area. Then use a damp cloth and remove the waste residue from the floor surface. Then apply two coats of finish on the floor.

Sanding Hardwood Floors

For sanding the wood floor drum sander can be used. Attach the medium grit sandpaper to the drum sander and start to move the drum sander on the floor surface. Sand the floor in the opposite direction along the grains. Then use different grit sandpapers to remove the scratches from the floor surface. To sand edges of the floor, an edge sander can be used. Move the edge sander in a clockwise direction on the floor surface. Then remove the dust particles from the wood floor.
