Easy Procedure To Clean Blinds Without Taking Them Down
Sometimes it is not an easy task to take your blinds down for cleaning them, but don't worry if you want to clean your blinds without taking them down then you just need to follow all the given steps carefully and achieve the desired result of your work:
- The first thing is to open your blinds and then bring them down till the end of your window. Now you need to pull the bottom out from your windows and let the blinds fall to expose all slats of it.
- The bottom blinds that do not open normally can get dirty easily. In order to clean this, you need to turn your blinds to their horizontal position so the blinds are not touching each other.
- Now you need to vacuum any loose dirt off from the slats of the blinds. You also need to attach the brush at the end of the hose and then start vacuuming as much dirt as possible from the top & bottoms of the slats if possible.
- Next its time to pour an ounce (28.349 grams) of the antibacterial soap into your daily use water bucket with 1/2 gallon of water(warm). Next, you have to wet a clean cloth with the antibacterial soap mixture and ring out any extra moisture from your cloth.
- After that, you need to pinch your dampened clean cloth around each slate and then slide this cloth from one end to another end, stop only when you reach to the support strings of the blinds.
- Now you need to rinse the used cloth in your sink when you see that the cloth gets soiled or much dirty, before dipping this cloth again in a soap solution, clean it well because the dirty cloth will make your mixture dirty and useless. Clean every slat along with top bar & valance.
- Next you need to clean the pull strings of your blinds. To do this, you just need to wet your clean white cloth with some water(warm) in your sink, and then you have to pour a little amount of bleach on your wet clean cloth and then squeeze out any extra moisture over your sink.
- Once your cloth is ready, now you need to pull the drawstring to raise your blinds entirely because this will help you to expose the whole length of the drawstrings.
- Its time to finish this task, simply grip your cloth around the strings of the blinds with applying gentle pressure and then pull it down the length. Leave the strings of the blinds down until they dry completely, it may take only 30-40 minutes. The water & bleach will now soak into the strings of the blinds and will also restore their white color.
